Dead Island online arena battle title announced

Deep Silver announced a Dead Island-flavored MOBA, er, make that ZOMBA game is in development.

Although info is beyond scarce right now, the ZOMBA (Zombie Online Multiplayer Battle Arena) game is being called Dead Island: Epidemic and is definitely set in the Dead Island universe. That said, it’s unknown if the game actually has a story element of any kind or if it’s just a straight-up MOBA with all players duking it out for fortune and glory.

Gameplay is pretty simple and shakes out with three teams of players all coming together at once to duke it out. Dead Island: Epidemic will be exclusive to the PC (for now anyway) and will be free-to-play. Publisher Deep Silver is promising “all the trademark elements that are part of a Dead Island experience” will be in there, so you can probably expect lots of melee combat and plenty of undead fodder.

We’ll have more on Epidemic as it develops, but for now you click right here to stay up to date on all the rotting action via the official site.
