Odin Sphere remake subtitled Leifthrasir, will hit digitally and physically

Looks like that Odin Sphere remake we told you about will be getting a physical release as well as a PSN launch, and this isn’t just a HD remake either.

So, in addition to just looking amazing, the new Odin Sphere has a wealth of alterations to the original game. Though it’s still told across five different character’s perspectives and is an RPGset in the 2D plane, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir expands on the Vanillaware original with “new monsters, fully voiced story scenes, and a fine-tuned refreshing combat and RPG system to perfect the gameplay.” So it’s still got plenty of ‘new’ for you even if you’re a veteran and have played through the PS2 original a dozen or so times.

Heading to the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita Odin Sphere Leifthrasir will arrive, courtesy of publisher Atlus, some time next year.
