The newest The Witcher 3 trailer is loaded with monsters and decapitations

See if you can keep track of how many dudes loose their noggins in the new trailer for CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, then wince at the majesty of the game’s second playable character.

Now that’s a handy trick, no? It’s also just as awesomely gory and blood-soaked as fans of the grim and somber work that The Witcher inhabits could hope for. Entitled ‘Rage and Steel’ the video above is a short look at some of the insanely cool stuff that you can do in Wild Hunt, from swordplay to magic. And the monsters and human enemies, well they’re looking pretty awesome as well.

CD Projekt’s newest might be the last in the line for the now legendary Witcher series of action/RPGs, but it certainly looks like Geralt is going out with a bang. And after multiple delays (which certainly look to have paid off), the game is almost here.

Expect to see The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt hitting the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on May 19th (a little over a week!).
