Geometry Wars 3 ‘Evolved’ update adds new stages, boss battles, and more

As updates go, this is a monster. And if you’ve been playing Sierra’s excellent Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, then you’re going to want to go and hit that download as soon as possible.

As you can see from the trailer above, we gave this one a 9.5 and with a very good reason, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is one awesome shooter that pretty much anyone who even has a passing interest in the genre should at least give a shot to. And if you thought it was packed with content already, well, you ain’t seen nothing yet as the new update loads it up even more.

A whopping 40 new stages, new boss battles, new 3D grid shapes, brand new gameplay types, and stuff like the Sweeper drone and Detonator ability all highlight this free pack. A pack which officially upgrades the game from Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions to Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved.

Now, if you already own a copy of the game, you can go download the update as soon as the official release date of March 31st arrives. If you don’t have the game, then all versions available for purchase will be automatically upgraded as of that date as well, so if you buy in post-update you won’t have to download the ‘core’ game and then an update, it’ll already be done for you.
