Renegade Kid brings some Metroidvania fun to PC’s today with Xeodrifter

Yes, I know the term is kind of over-used, but Metroidvania is kind of the perfect description of what developer Renegade Kid has cooked up with Xeodrifter… along with maybe calling it a bit Blaster Master-esque.

That’s pretty sweet right there. Like I said in the intro, Xeodrifter strikes me as a Matroid/Castlevania/Blaster Master riff, and that’s just fine with me. Coming out of developer Renegade Kind (who you might know from titles like Dementium and Moon) and “indie label” Gambitious Digital Entertainment, Xeodrifter is available right now on the PC and will be heading to the PS4 and PS Vita later this Spring.

If you can’t wait for the console debut though, the PC version is looking mighty appealing as it’s got a special 25% off sale price right now. And if you’d like to get a closer look before you actually play the game, you’ll have that chance as well, since the title will be on the show floor in booth #7179 at PAX East.
