Epix plans an epic night of terror for Halloween

Turn down the lights and turn up the screams, Epix has a slate of horror movies all set for the Halloween weekend.

At the Epix channel, they believe in no fewer than three days of Halloween festivities and will not be contained by a single Friday. Well, that’s the line I’m going with anyway since Epix’ massive horror movie-thin called Deadfest merely starts on Halloween, and then rolls all the way through the weekend, ending up on Sunday night.

Things start off at 8pm on the 31st with The Town That Dreaded Sundown, a classic flick from all the way back in 1979, and will be followed right after with a brand new version of the same film from Ryan Murphy (“American Horror Story”) and Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity) – how cool is that?

From there, you can expect a cavalcade of scary pictures till the whole thing wraps up at 6:30pm on Sunday night with an encore showing of the 2014 edition of The Town That Dreaded Sunshine. Pretty slick that.
