Destination America to air Mountain Monsters marathon for the 4th of July

No, there won’t be a new episode of Mountain Monsters for the 4th of July, but there will be a bunch of updated classics from Season 2.

MOUNTAIN MONSTERS is taking a week off to celebrate July 4 the Appalachian Way – with family and friends, a fishing rod, and moonshine – but you can still get your monster fix! This Friday in primetime, catch a marathon of special, updated editions of the previously aired episodes, offering a look back at AIMS’ adventures with new footage and behind-the-scenes extras.

I guess even monster hunters need a little time off now and then. Filling in will be the marathon of Season 2’s biggest and most ‘explosive’ moments. It sounds like there’s plenty of new content to keep fans happy too, even without a brand new episode to check out. Not to worry though, because the team from AIMS is set to return next week with all new beasties to hunt, on July 11th at 10/9 central.
