The final DLC map pack for Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is almost here and it’s not canceling the apocalypse.
Giant robots and zombies in mech suits. Developer Treyarch has really pulled out all the stops with the zombies DLC in Black Ops 2, but beyond the B-Movie thrills, the apocalypse map pack looks like a winner all around. I’m not much for multiplayer, but all four of the new maps look like sharp designs.
Each one is radically different from one another and the Dig and Takeoff maps are riffs on the classic Stadium (from Black Ops) and Courtyard (from Word at War) levels. It’s always kind of cool to see developers go back and revisit their previous work- especially when you’re talking fan-favorite stuff.
Apocalypse delivers the final Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC volume on August 27th for the Xbox 360. Other platforms will follow suit, though an exact date isn’t available quite yet.
