Host Blair Butler reported right from Comic Con 2013 with news on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a host of Marvel movies to come- including the newly announced Avengers sequel, The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
I honestly still can’t believe we have monster, triple A, star-studded movies with comic book characters in them… and they’re (mostly) good too! So bizarre.
Interesting to too hear about the ‘Marvels’ influence that’ll be showing up on the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV show. Marvels, which showed a universe of heroes and super-powered giants through the eye(s) of a newspaper photographer, is easily one of the most classic tomes put out by Marvel Comics. If you’ve never read Marvels, this is me telling you to go read it- it’s painted by Alex Ross and it’s awesome.
Marvels aside though, the more I hear about Marvel’s new TV show, the more I like it. It will definitely be interesting to see just how many characters from the Marvel U who’d normally never even get a sniff of screen time show up on the tele too. Personally, I’m hoping for some classics who got more than a bit shafted in their big screen debuts- namely Daredevil and Ghost Rider.
Crossing fingers… now.
