At the time of writing, Lionhead’s game Fable III is currently available to download for absolutely nothing via Xbox Live’s Games On Demand service. It was thought to be some sort of mistake, but Microsoft have confirmed the change. However, you have to get it through the marketplace on your actual console, as it’s still showing up as £29.99 on Xbox.com.
It’s arguably not the best game in the series, but it’s still good, as evidenced by the 8.0 we gave it when it was released. If you weren’t sure about it previously, then there’s no reason to give it a go while it’s free. Better be quick, though, before it changes.
