After a drought that lasted several years, Sideshow and Hot Toys are back at SDCC. And it won’t just be the same old booth experience either.
Meet me at Sideshow
As anyone who’s been to the biggest Comic Con on the calendar could tell you, the retailer known as Sideshow has always had one of the biggest footprints on the show floor. That’s to say, until a few years ago. In the wake of the Covid era, Sideshow founded its own online Sideshow Con, where much of what was seen at conventions was featured.
For what it was, it was pretty cool in and of itself. There were plenty of reveals and showcasings, as well as a few surprises here and there. That said though, it just wasn’t the same, especially for show-goers who’d become accustomed to seeing that big booth right in the middle of the con. That makes this year particularly nice, since yes, Sideshow is back.
Together with toy-maker Hot Toys, Sideshow will be found at a brand new booth, #2401. That’s smack dab between Hall H and Artist’s Alley. Quite the locale. It’s going to be loaded too, with product from some of the biggest names in the collector space. Sure, Hot Toys might be the star, but the list includes the likes of Insight Editions, PCS, Asmus, and more.
Check out these companies in the Sideshow booth next week, at SDCC:
- Sideshow
- Hot Toys
- Premium Collectibles Studio (PCS)
- Insight Editions
- Prime 1 Studio
- PureArts
- Infinite Statue X Kaustic Plastic
- Infinity Studio
- Jimei Palace X Cosmic Creations
- Asmus Collectible Toys

A new kind of experience
So yeah, the booth is set to be packed with cool stuff. That’s just the same as it’s always been when it comes to Sideshow. We’ve seen more than a few stunning statues, sixth scale figures, and collectibles there over the years. Even so though, this year will introduce a new kind of experience for fans of the company.
To that end, Sideshow says the booth has been newly reforged, and “designed especially for connection and engagement”. As for what that means, we’re not sure exactly. Though just to clarify, the company says to expect “experiences you can participate in, moments you can capture, and spaces where collectors and fans can hang out and feel at home.”
All in all, that sounds pretty slick, and could be the beginning of a brand new era for Sideshow’s Con presences. But honestly? We’re just happy to see that big ‘S’ logo back at the Con, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store.
