July’s Prime Gaming freebies includes an additional set of Prime Day lead-in titles

There’s an extra set of free PC games up for grabs this month from Prime Gaming, as we head into 2025’s edition of Prime Day.

Prime Gaming is of course a spinoff of Amazon Prime, and typically drops a bunch of freebies every month for subscribers. And every once in a while, typically in conjunction with Amazon’s yearly Prime Day event, Prime Gaming will dole out an extra helping of games. Well, that fateful time of year has come again with this month’s sales event set to start on July 8th, and so has that extra selection of games.

In addition to the planned lineup that Prime Gaming is set to host, a six-pack of added titles are up right now for PC players to add to their libraries. According to Amazon, those include “Boxes: Lost Fragments, Paquerette Down the Bunburrows, ENDLESS™ Space 2 Definitive Edition, Besiege: The Splintered Sea DLC, Venba, I Love Finding Wild Friends Collector’s Edition and Heroes of Loot“. Again though, those games aren’t all that Prime Gaming has on tap for July of 2025.

Stream the Smurfs, Death Stranding and more with Luna

As usual, there’s also a fresh rotation of Luna games available for play this month. Subscribers for Prime Gaming have access to the lineup, and can play all they want on whatever (supported) device they like, until the month is out.

At that point, Luna swaps out the games that you’re about to read through for a new lot though. So basically, play ’em while they’re available.

With Amazon Luna, you can play your favorite games instantly – no PC or gaming console required. Luna is Amazon’s cloud gaming service that works on the devices you already own, including Fire TV. As a Prime Gaming member, you get unlimited access to a rotating selection of popular games – included with your Prime membership. As with Prime Gaming, there’s also an extra selection of games available on Luna this month, with the kick being that they’re all limited, timed events. Resident Evil 2 is up now, for example, and will be available for play through 11:59pm (pacific time) on Saturday, July 12th.

A little later in the month, EA Sports FC 25 will post a pair of bonus streaming times. The first will hit the pitch at 12:01am (pacific) on Saturday, July 19th, with availability running until 11:59pm (yep, pacific time) on Sunday, July 20th. The action will pick up again at 12:01am (pacific time) on Saturday, July 26th, and ending at 11:59pm (pacific time) on Sunday, July 27th.

All in all, it’s a pretty happening month for both of Amazon’s gaming services.
