Blood Bowl III adds a bloody new team with Khorne

Football for the football god? Something like that, as Blood Bowl III welcomes its latest squad, the Khorne Faction.

Of blood and footballs

Launched in early 2023, the latest edition of Blood Bowl is still rolling with new content. This week’s Warhammer Skulls Festival saw to the latest drop, as Cyanide Studio and NACON announced that Blood Bowl III will welcome in a new squad next month.

As you can see above, that new addition will be none other than a brutal Khorne faction, a team made up of devotees to the Warhammer world’s god of blood and slaughter. So what happens when you take marauding madmen (and monsters) and put them on a fantasy-themed football gridiron? We’re sure you already have a notion.

As the name suggests, this faction is made up of worshippers of Khorne, the God of blood and slaughter. Khorne teams are characterized by their particularly brutal play style! Many of their players are equipped with the Frenzy skill, which leads them to bloody confrontations with opposing teams. Their motto reflects this philosophy: “Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows, only that it flows.”

NACON press release

The Khorne Faction is set to arrive in Blood Bowl III as a part of the new season of downloadable content, and will officially become available on June 10th. In the meantime though, players can grab an exclusive and free tie-in, in the form of a Khorne Coach. All you have to do to add him to your own game is to log into the in-game store and claim the download, between now and May 29th, 2025.

Also worth noting is that prospective players who don’t have a copy of Blood Bowl III can get in on the action for a discounted price over the same time frame. A whopping 60% discount is currently posted for the title (on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation), which will run through the 29th as well.
