NACON reveals new RIG 400 GEN2 Series headsets, out now at Walmart

A pair of new options just hit NACON’s line of RIG headsets, with the 400 GEN2 Series, delivered in two shades of stealthy camo.

They’ll never hear you coming

While that might be true, you’ll hopefully hear your own foes approaching just fine, thanks to the RIG 400 GEN2 Series. Just revealed by gaming company NACON. The new headset is actually set to be offered in two different flavors of camo, depending on whether you’re gaming on an Xbox or the PS5.

Though from the press release, we’ll add that it seems like you’d be able to use at least the PlayStation model along with anything that has a 3.5mm audio jack.

“Camo is just integral to gaming culture, evolving from stealth origins to become a bold statement of personal style. The RIG 400 Camo Series has become a cornerstone of this trend, with over 2 million units sold and commanding 60% of the camo headset market,” said Jack Reynolds, Brand Director for RIG. “GEN2 continues this legacy, introducing two upgraded camo designs while delivering the premium audio quality, comfort, and legendary durability RIG is renowned for.”

With Urban Camo (designed for Xbox) and Arctic Camo (designed for PlayStation) models hitting retail, the RIG 400 GEN2 Series reportedly sports some nice features. The RIG series already had “snap-fit” sizing, but with the new ‘sets users can look for an overall lighter-weight construction plus redesigned, oval-shaped ear cups. Both of those improvements should enable longer gaming sessions, according to NACON.

Designed for PlayStation, the 400 GEN2 HS Arctic Camo is priced in at $39.99 USD, and is available now via Walmart (online and in stores). Likewise, the designed for Xbox 400 GEN2 HX Urban Camo clocks in with the same pricing, but also includes a “one-year activation code for Dolby Atmos”.

Exclusively for headphone use, Dolby Atmos “provides immersive surround game audio for Xbox and PC”. So there’s a nice little bonus for Xbox and PC players.
