Superstars mix it up in intergender matches, plus we get a look at chain wrestling and new match types in this look at WWE 2K25.
Time to brawl
Getting ever closer to the launch of this year’s WWE title is 2K and developer Visual Concepts, so as you’d expect, quite a bit more info is starting to come out. The latest look at the game in action is packed, loaded up with first-looks at both Underground and Bloodline Rules Matches, glimpses of the new NXT Parking Lot and WWE Archives areas, and a peek at the returning chain wrestling.
That’s not all though, as we also get another look at The Island (which is seemingly exclusive to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S editions of WWE 2K25), and there are some superstars in action that we don’t think we’ve seen before. On that latter note, the game’s intergender capabilities are on display, with Chyna putting the hurt on Eddie Guerrero.
Time to rule beyond the ring.
Along with everything that we mentioned above, the trailer also makes mention of The Bloodline’s Dynasty. One of the focal points of the game, the new mode will allow players to delve into the history of the Anoa’i family, which makes up the modern faction. These won’t all be modern matches either, as The Bloodline’s Dynasty will reach back into history to deliver big moments from across the decades. And while players will be able to act out these matches as they happened, they can also change the outcomes, or even scrap the whole thing and create some brand new history.
Other highlights include MyRISE Mutiny, which this year will showcase combined male and female storylines filled with “dramatic moments, exciting matches and story-driven cutscenes”, according to 2K. MyGM and MyFACTION were also featured, though we didn’t get a look at MyUNIVERSE, so (presumably) stay tuned for that. 2K adds that more info on the 2K Showcase: The Bloodline’s Dynasty is coming, plus roster reveals and more.
WWE 2K25 is coming up fast, scheduled to launch on March 14th. You can play earlier than that though, if you grab either The Deadman Edition or The Bloodline Edition, both of which get you going on March 7th (digitally). Also, depending on your fandom, you might want to pre-order no matter which version you’re aiming to pick up. That’s because 2K is offering The Wyatt Sicks as a bonus for those who secure their copy.
