Call of Duty’s Battle Pass is back, with some new features

Season 01 has launched for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and it’s toting a newly revamped Battle Pass along with it.

Launched late last month, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is another great-looking title in the series. The first-person shooter returns the action to the titular “Black Ops” universe, for campaign missions that take place in the post-Cold War era of the 1990s. But as with every CoD installment, that single player experience is only part of the total package.

Multiplayer is just as important, if not more-so, and Activision knows that full well. So here in Black Ops 6‘s post-launch period, there’s a robust series of multiplayer-centric, downloadable content planned out. That starts with Season 01, which landed yesterday.

The new season includes, among other things, a freshly revamped Battle Pass. Fans can expect lots of slick looking stuff to be included, along with the debut of an auto-claim system that should make grabbing the newest goodies even easier.

Not to be lost in that montage, is that “more than 100 earnable rewards” will be in play during the game’s seasons. According to the press release, that will equate to “free base weapons, Weapon Blueprints, Equipment Skins, Operator Skins, and much more”.
