Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster shambles into stores

The physical edition for the remaster of one of the best-loved zombies games of all time is here, with Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

First released in digital form on September 19th of this year, Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster has now made its arrival in physical form. Identical to what was included with that first launch, the boxed edition of Capcom’s newest remastering still looks more like a remake to us, than a simple boost in graphical quality over the 2006 classic.

The game brings the series’ adventure back to its first days, as noted war-journalist Frank West heads to a formerly unremarkable shopping mall in the American midwest. There he finds a full on zombie outbreak has taken place, with the rotting monsters overrunning the place. Worse yet, old Frank is effectively trapped in that retail hell for 72 hours as he awaits his pickup.

Maybe those wartime skills will come in handy after all…

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster introduces freelance photojournalist Frank West as he ventures to Willamette, Colorado after overhearing there is something unnatural going on in town. Frank soon finds out he is in the middle of a zombie takeover and has to survive for 72 hours! Whether players simply choose to survive or opt to take on the challenge of uncovering the truth about the outbreak is entirely up to them!

Along with the game itself, which again is out right now in physical (and digital) form for the Xbox Series X|S and PS5, Capcom has dropped a demo. So if you’ve been on the fence about the game, you’re now able to grab that and try Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster for free.

Even better, while the physical edition of the game is only out for current-gen consoles, the demo is out for all supported platforms. That’s to mean that it’s available for download via the PC as well. So no matter where you like to play, it might be time to get to some zombie-mulching.
