There’s a big new DLC pack coming for cRPG Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, but before we get to that, there’s the new patch.
Pretty chunky for a patch
We’ll get to Void Shadows, Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader’s upcoming downloadable content pack, soon enough, but first there’s patch 1.2. And from the looks of things, the just launched update is stocked with a whole mess of refinements and more.
The biggest update yet for the turn-based title, patch 1.2 includes a staggering 2500+ “visible and internal changes”. Scroll down to check out what you’ll be getting when you update your copy.
- Game Balance: Deep rebalance of out-of-sequence turns, buffs to Sanctioned Psykers and Pyromancy, tuning of scaling in the late game and much more
- Co-op: Play together from the start! Up to two additional custom mercenary characters are now available in the Prologue. Other improvements include custom portrait transfer, save file size reduction, desync fixes.
- Quality of Life and UI: Improved inventory sorting, tooltips, combat log and level up screen, quests are now marked on star systems, and more.

All of the above is up for download right now, as long as you have a base copy of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader. That, by the way, is out now for the PC, plus the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
As for that DLC
Okay, so with the update out of the way, let’s talk DLC. And when you’re talking about the upcoming Void Shadows, there’s a big new character to cover. The Lord Captain’s newest companion takes center stage there, with Kibellah, a Death-Cultist specializing in close combat.
As you’ll see, she’ll be more than willing to twist the knife as a member of players’ parties.
True to their name, the Death Cults worship the Emperor through the art of death and killing. One such group has worked in the shadows for the benefit of von Valancius for generations, and now they have achieved the attention of the mighty Lord Captain. It is there that the paths and destinies of the Rogue Trader and Kibellah, an outstanding Assassin in the cult, will intertwine. Find out how strong her loyalty is and whether there is something even deeper and more personal hidden behind it while facing the xeno threat emerging from the bowels of the voidship.

Unlike with patch 1.2, which again is out now, there’s no release date just yet for Void Shadows. The arrival of Kibellah should shake things up nicely though, when she arrives for all versions of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader.
