Heading back into the prequel era of Star Wars, toy-maker Hot Toys has a new Anakin Skywalker on the way, from Attack of the Clones.
Just don’t ask him if he’s into sand
While it’s probably the most commonly derided of the Star Wars prequel films, Attack of the Clones did give fans quite a few iconic moments and elements. Some of those would go on to big-time fan approval too, by way of the various animated series’ that would follow the film.
Among all of that too, AotC gave the Star Wars faithful the young adult version of Anakin Skywalker, embodied by actor Hayden Christensen. And while we’ve seen Revenge of the Sith versions of the actor’s portrayal fairly recently, Hot Toys has seen fit to dive a little further back, for that slightly younger version of the soon-to-be fallen hero.
Set for release fairly soon, the new figure carries over Hot Toys’ famous levels of sculpting and detail, plus the rolling eyeball lfeature and a light-up LED lightsaber. Or two.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Star Wars: Attack of the Clones™, the Anakin Skywalker™ 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys features an incredibly detailed likeness of Hayden Christensen in the iconic role. The hand-painted headsculpt utilizes Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeball design which allows collectors to adjust the figure’s gaze.
Anakin is dressed in an expertly tailored layered fabric outfit which includes a Jedi robe and tunic. He comes with an interchangeable mechno right arm, two LED light-up Lightsabers™, and blade-in-motion effects. A Geonosian™ factory-themed display stand is also included, allowing for an immersive display. This figure is presented in commemorative packaging marking the anniversary of this beloved movie.
