Ubisoft renames subscription service plans, redefines tiers

Fans of Ubisoft’s online subscription service Ubisoft+ have some new designations, with both Premium and Classics for PC.

Ubi-tastic

New year new everything, as Ubisoft has renamed and redefined the tiers in its subscription service, Ubisoft+. It’s more than skin deep too, as with the early access release of the brand new Prince of Persia title, Ubi has overhauled the levels available subscribers.

According to the publisher, the former Ubisoft+ Multi-Access and PC Access are both history, replaced today by Ubisoft+ Premium. This new tier will offer fans both day one and early access releases, in addition to premium editions of games, monthly rewards, and “more”.

Aside from that, there’s also a brand new subscription-level, dubbed Ubisoft+ Classics on PC. The somewhat awkward title basically spells out what you can look for with this one, as it’ll stock “a curated selection of popular back-catalog and live games”, according to company.

The new plans/tiers are available as of today, with the seeming immediate discontinuation of the older offerings. If you’d like to read a ton more on all of this though, plus check out a little Q and A session with Ubisoft Director of Subscription Philippe Tremblay, click here for the official Ubi news site.
