Two new characters and the Dimension Shellshock survival mode are all out now for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge.
Back in action
One of the very best brawlers released in years, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has finally welcomed in the massive Dimension Shellshock downloadable content pack. The DLC includes both Karai and Usagi Yojimbo as playable characters across all modes of play, new colors for the TMNT and their existing pals, and that title survival mode.
Dimension Shellshock is more than just wave after wave of bad guys though, tossing the Turtles through time and space. Via that gimmick, fans can fight through representations of different TMNT eras and universes, collecting crystals and opening up new rifts. At the end of it all is… well, we don’t actually know for sure, though you can get a hint at who’s pulling the strings in the launch trailer for the DLC.
The far-out new Survival Mode in today’s DLC introduces collectible crystals that allow you to jump from dimension to dimension, with each world featuring its own unique look and feel. Level up and grow stronger through runs across dimensions – and when you die after having collected enough crystals, unlock a new life, ninja power bars, Radical Mode and extra hit points. Fight well enough and you’ll earn the ability to skip dimensions, and Dimension Shellshock will come complete with flashy new character colors for players to show their style.
Dotemu press release
Complete with a fresh soundtrack from the base title’s composer Tee Lopes, Dimension Shellshock is available now for all versions of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. It’s also accompanied by a free update to that core title, which adds in (among other fixes) even more “color palette options”. So whether you buy Dimension Shellshock or not, it might be time to dive back in for more Turtle power.
