Mortal Kombat 1 announces more big names ahead of release

Mortal Kombat is known for characters that are fan favorites, as well as large rosters. The latest confirmation certainly makes fans happy!

Everyone loves seeing the classic characters like Scorpion and Sub-Zero in Mortal Kombat. The franchise always has celebrity faces show up from time to time.

The latest announcement of faces is a bit of blend: royalty and a rarely seen face.

Queen Sindel returns after being a DLC character in MK11 and an NPC in MKX. She is one character you don’t want to get on the wrong side of. And if you do, you had better be quick!

The Centaurian Motaro returns, albeit in a kameo capacity. The brief look at his moves makes it look like this will be one of the more difficult games in the franchise.

Shao Kahn returns, though as a General of outworld armies. We see him answering to Sindel, but to what end? Forever more questions than answers.

Finally, if you played Mortal Kombat: Deception and Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, you may remember Shujinko. A White Lotus monk that grew up dreaming of battling Shang Tsung. Only to be tricked in to help raise Onaga, the dragon king once again.

I know i’m not alone in saying I can’t wait for the September 19th release. I played the beta test, and it was both wonderful and terrible. It was great to play the game again, but such a tease to only get a select few characters.
