Somehow Spawn is 30 years old, and to celebrate the now-iconic supernatural hero, Image Comics will be serving up a huge slate of covers.
Spawning some variants
How in the heck did this happen? Though it might seem impossible for those who remember seeing Spawn #1 on the racks when it first launched, Todd McFarlane’s demonic-powered superhero has indeed collected three decades of un-life.
Originally landing in stores in May of 1992, Spawn was a part of the original Image Comics superhero universe. Of course, since then a few titles and creators have left that fold, and the collection of books that Image calls its own have expanded to include a myriad of different genres and fictional worlds. But still, Spawn remains, celebrating a record breaking run of over 300 issues.
To celebrate that, Image will be producing a collection of covers, each one featuring old Al Simmons himself. Granted, this is a few months off, but they’re still plenty cool.

As for the Image stuff though, watch for all of it to arrive next month, December 2022.
