WRC Generations to feature new Leagues modes, with solo and team play

The newest title in the World Rally Championship series, WRC Generations is set to evolve the game with the all-new Leagues mode.

Leagues different

If you’ve played the WRC series before, then you already know that it’s one of the most realistic and graphically-beautiful rally racers out there. NACON and KT Racing’s yearly series tends to up the ante with each new edition as well, and that’s the case once again here in 2022.

This year’s WRC Generations not only looks to be the best-looking WRC yet, but it’ll also offer up the fresh Leagues mode. According to NACON, that will be the main gameplay experience in Generations, serving up both solo and team play.

Players will be able to “rank” in both modes at the same time, which certainly makes it sound like both sides of Leagues are on the same coin. In solo, players will rank-up based on points they accrue in races. Team ranks will then be made up of each individual player’s points.

So why is it called “Leagues”, with an ‘s’? Well, because there are 6 of them. And those include:

  • Legend (top league)
  • Champion
  • Professional
  • Rookie
  • Junior
  • Beginner (unranked or players demoted from Junior 3)

Each of the above is split into 3 tiers a piece, each once of those “up to 30 solo players and 8 teams”. So yeah, this is a pretty big deal and pretty clearly the meat and potatoes of Generations. Did I mention it’s also cross-platform? Leagues is playable across everything, with the exception of the Switch edition of the game.

But of course, there’s a ton more. WRC Generations will also offer up full seasons of racing action, along with special daily, weekly, and qualifier events, and lots more.

Ready to race? WRC Generations is almost here, and will land on Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as the PC on November 3rd. That Switch edition looks to hit a bit later, on December 1st.
