Trailer: Iron Harvest new World Map campaign mode is ready to roll

One of the best real-time strategy titles in recent years, Iron Harvest is back. This time the game is getting an update, with 40+ new campaign missions.

War never ends

The World Map Campaign offers an exciting way to experience the rich alternative history of 1920+. Nations in conflict fight to protect their all-new capital maps and gain stable control over the territories. The rules for meta-gameplay are simple, but tactical depth comes with its own learning curve and gives players many ways to optimize their own grand strategy. Quests and scenario battles will decide the outcome.

Scenario battles bring challenging single player missions to Iron Harvest, refreshing the 60 maps of the game with a new spin. Brand-new starting parameters and victory conditions will force players to command their giant diesel-punk mechs in unusual tactics. Scenario battles also add several renewed mission types with over 40 new missions in total, ranging from destroying an enemy HQ to a classic capture-the-flag-esque scenario. An advanced AI that adapts to the mission objective will keep players on their toes.

Prime Matter press release

In addition to the above, the World Map mode for Iron Harvest adds includes multiple possible configurations, each with their own “tactical division of territories and victory conditions”. Add to that a custom campaign editor, allowing players to make their own World Maps, and the new 3v3 mode, and you’ve got a pretty hefty selection of new stuff.

What World Map mode should be live for the PC version of Iron Harvest now. Console updates are incoming, though there’s no date for those just yet.
