3D Realms’ and 1C Entertainment’s Graven is still in Early Access, and about to get its first big update. Look for a brand new level and co-op play.

If you’ve been playing developer Slipgate Ironworks’ Graven on the PC, then you’ve been playing one of the better retro-themed FPS’ in recent years. The game is a throwback to the 90s era of first person shooters, and loaded with a style that really hasn’t been seen since Hexen.
And now it’s about to receive its first massive update, one that includes not just a new level to play though, but co-op as well. Kind of a big deal.
From the press release:
- Embrace arcane chaos in teams of four via online co-op: wield magic and conventional weaponry to slay abominations and solve puzzles
- Delve deep into the Cruxfirth Archives, the vestigial seat of a recent past to unveil the sordid history that has led to the plague, but beware, far graver threats than illness lurk between the tomes
- GRAVEN’s blend of classic shooters, immersive sims, and action RPGs will continue to expand with more Early Access updates throughout the year
Graven’s first update will be available some time later this year, but doesn’t have a drop date just yet. As for the base game, that’s available via Early Access right now, on either GOG, Steam, or the Epic Game Store. Rather play on a console? It’s on the way.
The game is set to quest onto the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch (inn full retail form) in 2022.
