Wave 1 of Todd McFarlane’s new Spawn figure line is ready for pre-order

Spawn is back, and with creator Todd McFarlane’s revival of the classic hero also comes a brand new lineup of action figures. Check out wave 1.

Watch that necro-meter

Quite a few classic toy and pop culture properties have been coming back over the last few years, and you can now count Spawn in that lot. If your’e somehow unfamiliar, Todd McFarlane’s demonically-powered hero was first seen in the 90s, and was an unabashed phenomenon.

Spawn had comics, an HBO animated series, video games, a movie, and yes, toys. Over the years since, he’s kind of drifted away, though the mainline comic never stopped. And it’s a good thing it didn’t, since almost everything else is ready to re-join it. McFarlane is just this week expanding Spawn comic book offerings, there’s still rumblings of a movie out there, and now the toys are back. Oh boy are they back.

I really don’t want to say anything bad about those classic toys, since I still love ’em, but man are these new figures incredible. As you can see in the gallery below, the main wave 1 includes Redeemer, Clown, Raven, and a freaking awesome looking, gigantic Violator.

There’s also Gunslinger Spawn, but he’s a Target exclusive. So while the above are available pretty widely, you’ll have to find the wild-western hellspawn at the big-boxer.

If you’d like to pre-order the rest though, you can definitely do so at several online outlets right now. That includes from our pals at Entertainment Earth, where your purchase will result in a small commission for BG.
