The briefly seen multiplayer shooter Aliens: Fireteam Elite has a selection of new screens and a release date. The game arrives this August.
Fire at will
If you blinked, you probably missed Aliens: Fireteam Elite. The game was announced a few months ago, and not really seen in any form since. It actually missed E3 as well, and somehow wasn’t even mentioned anywhere as being MIA. Honestly, I’m a big Aliens fan myself and I completely forgot about it.
Nevertheless though, the game is definitely coming, and actually pretty soon too. Announced just yesterday, Focus Home’s take on the famed movie monsters will be heading home this August the 24th.
And right along with that announcement, is a fresh selection of screenshots. If you’re as big a fan as I am, I think you’re going to dig how this one is shaping up.
Take a look:
Set in the Alien universe, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a cooperative third-person survival shooter that drops your fireteam of hardened marines into a desperate fight to contain the Xenomorph threat. Face overwhelming odds against over 20 enemy types, including 11 different Xenomorphs along the evolutionary scale from Facehuggers to Praetorians, each designed with their own intelligence to ambush, outsmart and eviscerate vulnerable marines.
