Xbox Game Pass Ultimate hits the Samsung store

Galaxy users have a new gaming app to subscribe to, in the form of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Microsoft’s cloud gaming solution is available now.

Up in the cloud

This has been a somewhat long time coming. Microsoft announced some time ago that Xbox Game Pass would be going to the cloud for gaming on connected devices. And today the first of those is ready for action.

According to Samsung, Xbox gamers should head to the Galaxy Store today to download a copy of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. As long as you’re a subscriber to the Xbox service, you’ll then have access to “more than 100 games from the cloud”.

Now, it does seem like you’ll have to have a supported device to play though. Samsung specifically points to the Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Tab S7, so it looks like the support is quite narrow. Still, it’s a very cool service, that’ll be extremely interesting to watch. Who knows where something like this might be headed?

Oh and if you’re not a subscriber, and happen to be in the market for a new phone, then we’ve got good news for you. Samsung has also announced the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Bundle.

The pack includes a Galaxy Note20 (or other supported device) and a 3 month subscription to the service.

Here’s a bit about the phone:

The Galaxy Note20 series delivers the most powerful mobile gaming experience Samsung has ever engineered into a smartphone. With 5G speeds, a large, immersive display, a super-charged processor and 240Hz touch latency on the Galaxy Note20 Ultra, this smartphone is a pro-gaming set-up that fits in your pocket.
