Hyper X debuts new PS4 and Nintendo Switch charging stations

Branching out is peripheral maker Hyper X. The company has debuted a dual controller charging stand for PS4, and a four at once Joy-Con charger for the Switch.

Charged up

No, chargers aren’t all that exciting, but these are actually pretty cool. In particular, the Switch edition is really neat, since it’s designed to charge up four of Nintendo’s mini-controllers at once. Have a look.

Pretty neat! The ChargePlay Quad Charging Station is designed to hook up to the Switch’s base station, but can be kept a decent distance from the console thanks to its two meter USB cable. And of course, it has those LED light-up indicators to show you the status of the controller’s charge.

The ChargePlay Duo isn’t quite as interesting for the PS4, but it still seems like a solid choice for anyone looking for a new station. The unit charges two Dual Shock 4 controllers pretty fast too, with a full charge possible in just two hours. Like the Switch unit too, it’s stocked with an LED indicator, so you can see when your pad’s ready for play.

Both units are available right now, and see for $29.99 USD each. As you might expect too, they do come with warrantees as well, though the two year that you get in the box seems a little more generous than most.
