Phoenix’ return to Marvel Comics means one thing- variant covers!

So the big “return” for Marvel’s Legacy event has been revealed to be Jean Grey (the Phoenix). And of course, there’s a bevy of variant covers on the way to celebrate.

Variants Rising

Phoenix Resurrection is the book, and when it hits it will be bringing the adult Jean Grey along with it. She’s back for real, and will probably have a heavy impact on the X-Men’s section of the Marvel U, if no the entirety of reality #616.

And since this is a big event for Marvel, you better believe that they’re set to celebrate. What does that mean? Variants my friends, variants. Landing in stores this December will be a series of variant covers, each one on a different Marvel title.

Most of these books will have little to nothing to do with the Phoenix event itself though, so no worries about all of them being crossover issues. These are just the covers that I’m talking about. So they’re more possible collector items than anything else.

As for the Phoenix Resurrection book itself, that won’t hit till December 27th. Here’s what comics to look for the rest of the month though, should you want in on those variant covers:
