Get a better look at Bandai Namco’s Code Vein in this new E3 trailer

Gory, blood-soaked, and feeling like an anime come to life, Bandai Namco’s latest is so far looking solid. Check out the Code Vein, straight from E3.

Code Vein

In the not too distant future, a mysterious disaster has brought collapse to the world as we know it. Towering skyscrapers, once symbols of prosperity, are now lifeless graves of humanity’s past pierced by the Thorns of Judgment. At the center of the destruction lies a hidden society of Revenants called Vein. This final stronghold is where the remaining few fight to survive, blessed with gifts of power in exchange for their memories and a thirst for blood. Give into the bloodlust fully or risk becoming one of The Lost, fiendish ghouls devoid of any remaining humanity.

I’m not much for anime-type stuff, but this is looking pretty sharp. Cool horror stuff is few and far between though, and this is definitely that, so that might be the attraction for me. In any event, Code Vein is looking good. This one isn’t just action either, as publisher Bandai Namco is touting it as an action RPG.

There’ll be plenty ore to come before launch on Code Vein too, so stay tuned. The game isn’t scheduled to hit the Xbox One, PS4, and PC till 2018.
