SDCC 2017: Factory unveils Batman-centric exclusives for the Con

Ready for two more Factory Entertainment SDCC exclusives? One of them is obscenely expensive, and both are incredibly cool.

Gotham City, straight ahead

Both of these exclusives play off of the original 1960s Batman TV show. If you’re a fan of that, then you’re going to be mighty tempted by what we’ve got show you. We’ll start with the lesser of the two, in terms of price.

Perfect for any fan of the classic camp-fest, the Gotham City sign points the way to the metropolis that the semi-Dark Knight calls home. It’s actually pretty large at 14″ x 9.5″, and is cast in metal. So flimsy this isn’t, and it should make for a very cool addition to any Batman collection.

The sign will run you a measly $20 USD, and can be pre-ordered here. It also includes a coupon for $100 USD off. “Of what”, you ask?

To the Batcave!

Yes, it’s the Batcave, as seen on the classic show.

This massive diorama comes equipped with 16 different LED lights to give the cave a cool glow, some of which are animated. Here’s the rundown:

  • Hidden floor lights, to emulate the large floodlights with colored gels that were used on set.
  • A pulsating color change effect inside the Atomic Core.
  • Flashing lights in select monitors and screens.

The Batcave has also got a working turntable that you can actually use to rotate the Batmobile (which isn’t included), among other things.

  • A turntable that can be manually rotated.
  • Selected movable furniture that allows you to dress the set as you prefer.
  • A faux rock door panel in the entrance tunnel that can be removed to allow access entry by the Batmobile. (Batmobile model not included).

Yeah, it’s a beast, and stands in at 1:50th scale, which translates to 18″ x 14″ x 9″, and a weight of over 20 pounds! As you might imagine, it’s got a hefty price tag too. The Batcave will cost you $799.99 USD, or $699.99 with that coupon from the Gotham City sign. You can get one for yourself here.

Both of the above will be available online, and can be picked up at SDCC, or shipped to you after the show ends. Oh, and if you’re buying the sign for the coupon, be aware that the discount will only be good till this September the 30th.
