We Happy Few gets chunky Maidenholm Update

Still not officially released, We Happy Few is nonetheless still looking superb. And with the new Maidenholm Update, now there’s way more to do.

Take your Joy!

Quite a bit in there, huh? If you had forgotten that We Happy Few was still being worked on, well you’re not alone. I sort of did too, and I’ve been really liking forward to the game since its announcement and Steam Early Access appearance.

It is still coming though, and looking better than ever. With a brand spanking new island for gamers to explore, there should be plenty to experience, even if you’ve played through what there was already. As you can see too, there are new mechanics aplenty, and a trio of play styles that you can pick from at the top of the game.

So if you are previously put off by one or two things here and there, you’re in luck. Heck, developer Compulsion Games even ‘fixed’ the whole permadeath thing, and it wasn’t even really a thing! See? Sometimes developers do listen to their audience.

The update is live right now, and is available to anyone playing the game via Steam or GOG on the PC. The title will be coming to the Xbox One as well, though that’s still a little ways off. We do know though, that We Happy Few is intended to go gold sometime this year.
