More licensed Activision titles vanish from online marketplaces

Did you pick up Activision’s latest TMNT game digitally? Well, if you didn’t, I hope you had no intention to. ‘Cause it’s gone.

Activision vanishing act

This isn’t the first time that Activision’s games have disappeared from digital storefronts like Steam and Xbox Live. If memory serves, it wasn’t long ago that a couple of the company’s Marvel-licensed titles pulled a vanishing act, though some of them eventually returned. Much like that event, this time also involves a Marvel character, though it incorporates those mean, green teens as well.

For the Marvel games, it is both Amazing Spider-Man games that’ve vamoosed. Neither one was all that well received, though TASM wasn’t bad at all if I remember correctly. In addition, the publisher’s newest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game has also been pulled. That one came out less than a year ago, though it also wasn’t the best loved of games. Hey, at least it looked good, that counts for something right?

In any event, there’s been no explanation on what’s happening, though there wasn’t one the first time this happened either. If the titles reappear, or there’s further word, we’ll let you know. As of right now though, PC gamers are out of luck and console fans will have to go physical if they want to play any of the above.
