Dying Light: The Beast dated for PC and consoles this August

The next chapter in Techland’s survival horror franchise creeps out this summer, as Dying Light: The Beast hits the PC and consoles.

The undead meet their match

Super-heroics meet zombie horror? Well, kinda/sorta, as Dying Light: The Beast‘s hero is a little of both survivor and zombie, making him the perfect “Beast” to rip his way through the hordes, and towards a little old fashioned vengeance.

Said hero would be Kyle Crane by the way, a man who was captured by the vile Baron, and subjected to years of torturous experimentation. What the villain produced though, was a monster in his own right, a man who could “crush skulls, rip heads off, and tear enemies in half”, according to developer Techland.

While you might’ve known all of the above already, we’re happy to reveal that Dying Light: The Beast finally has a release date to go along with the hype. Just revealed at Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2025, the first-person horror title will be coming to consoles and the PC this August 22nd.

Dying Light: The Beast will arrive for the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and does come packing a pre-order bonus. Those who secure their copy of the game early, will nab the Hero of Harran Bundle for themselves as a bonus. Also worth mentioning though, is that owners of the Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition will get the pack for use in Dying Light: The Beast as well. Pretty cool.

That pack will include:

• Ultimate Survivor Outfit – Known as the Juggernaut outfit in Dying Light, this cool makeshift apocalyptic look was rewarded to the most dedicated survivors.
• Harran Combat Knife – A swift and deadly weapon, the zombie head engraving on the blade is a throwback to the original Dying Light’s box art.
• The Follower Crossbow – First found in Dying Light: The Following expansion, this crossbow is perfect for a stealthier approach.
• In Jade’s Memory Pistol – Jade Aldemir – she’s one of the reasons you made it out of Harran alive. With her likeness on the grip, think of her with every bullet you fire from this pistol.
• Castor Woods Patrol – Rescuing hikers from the woods and cats from trees was a breeze for this powerful beast. Now put it to the real test and see how it handles the zombie apocalypse!
