The Division 2 isn’t done quite yet, as Ubisoft’s pandemic-fueled actioner is back for more this May, with the Battle for Brooklyn DLC.
Brook-a-lyn
It’s been a while since we’ve seen something meaty from The Division 2. Ubisoft’s action title followed up on the original game with a setting change to Washington DC, where agents faced a whole new mix of villains looking to take advantage of a world that was reeling from a deadly pandemic. The title has seen heavy post-launch support from the publisher, and it’s apparently not done just yet.
While we’re still not sure about the arrival of The Division 3, we now know that Ubisoft will be bringing a whole new adventure to part two. That’ll arrive next month, in the form of Battle for Brooklyn, a DLC pack that takes players to the NYC borough to battle against the rapidly encroaching gangs of Manhattan.
Ubi took the wraps off of the pack today, by way of a showcase for The Division 2. You can check it out in full below.
In Battle for Brooklyn, players will visit post-pandemic New York during fall for the first time and explore the iconic Brooklyn neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo. Brooklyn has been relatively peaceful with civilians working together and thriving while hostile factions ravaged Manhattan. However, the Cleaners and Rikers have now moved across the river, threatening the fragile tranquility of the Brooklyn settlement with the Purple Flame.
As players progress through the linear campaign of Battle for Brooklyn, either solo or in co-op, they will need to find out how the Cleaners are mass-producing the Purple Flame to save civilians from this suspicious attack.

More than just a new story
Along with the new story and setting, Battle for Brooklyn will be bringing some new gameplay too. The original game’s Smart Cover will be returning, plus the pack will include an exclusive item in the Catalyst Exotic Mask. Fans can look for that little goodie to offer bonuses when it comes to both “dealing and receiving status effect damage”, according to Ubisoft.
But wait, there’s more, including a trio of goals for what’s the seventh year of the game’s life. According to Ubisoft, The Division’s team is focusing on improving some core elements for the seventh year of the game’s life, including “improving the onboarding process for new agents, adding more depth to the endgame, and solidifying seasons as a cornerstone of The Division 2 experience”. And on top of that, players should expect “new events and realigned modifiers, gear, and gameplay that better reflect the narrative elements of the seasons.”
So when’s all of this become available to add onto your own copy of The Division 2? Well, as we mentioned, pretty darn fast. Players can look to pick up a copy of Battle for Brooklyn on May 27th, for $14.99 USD. Fans can wishlist both that core pack, as well as a Deluxe version (we’re not sure of what’s included in that) tomorrow, April 24th. And naturally, if you already own either The Division 2 Gold or The Division 2 Ultimate edition, Battle for Brooklyn is included in both.
