The recently launched RPG/Strategy hybrid expansion King Arthur: Legion IX is set to bring undead turn-based action to consoles.

Set in a dark fantasy version of the iconic British tales, NeocoreGames’ King Arthur series is a pretty big departure from what you might know of the real-world legends. And a perfect encapsulation of that theme, is the relatively new King Arthur: Legion IX.
Launched on PC last year, the standalone expansion takes the world of Avalon and adds a heaping helping of zombies. And we’re not just talking about any revenants here, but Roman soldiers that hail from the lost… Legion IX.
Escaped from the pits of Tartarus is one Gaius Julius Mento, a fallen Roman hero who’s dead set on creating a new version of the Empire, starting with the ashes of Arthur’s realm.
A new threat looms over Avalon as the long-lost, infamous Ninth Legion of Rome has set foot on the mythical island. Their commander, the fallen hero, Gaius Julius Mento was granted a demonic legion by their dead emperor, Septimus Sulla to find a way out of Tartarus. But when they accidentally arrive to the magical realm of the Lady of the Lake, Gaius Julius Mento decides to subjugate the island and establish Eternal Rome there. First, however, he must gather his lost legion…

As noted above, while King Arthur: Legion IX is out now for the PC, it’s also going to march on current-gen consoles. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will be getting ports of the game, and sooner than later. NeocoreGames says that fans can look for King Arthur: Legion IX to arrive for both of the above platforms on May 6th.
