Who can forget the absolute camp-fest that was Batman & Robin? As much as the film was derided back in the 90s, and we hate to tell everyone that it most definitely was, it’s made something of an unexpected return as of late. The movie has had quite a bit of play online in the last several years, and even some action figures.
Naturally, some the best coolest of those have come from Hot Toys, the masters of the movie-based collectible. And if you’ve already invested in their Batman and Robin figures from, uh, Batman & Robin, then you might be interested in who’s up next.
As you can see, that’d be the flick’s main heavy, Mr. Freeze. The cryo-powered villain will come complete with accessories, plus a series of LED light-up effects, and an icy blue Arnold Schwarzenegger likeness. He’s also going to ship in a pair of editions, with both Collector Edition and Deluxe Edition on the way. If you grab the latter, you’ll be in for an additional posing possibility, with a set of wings.
Both versions of Mr. Freeze are setting up to ship some time in the first half of 2026, with the Collector Edition priced in at $355 USD and the Deluxe Edition at $385 USD. Pre-orders are open right now for both via Sideshow, and you can get the full details below.
Hot Toys continues to expand its Batman cinematic lineup with a new addition to the Rogues Gallery of DC villains — drawing inspiration from Arnold Schwarzenegger’s memorable performance as Mr. Freeze in 1997’s Batman & Robin.
Dr. Victor Fries is a scientist who dedicated his life’s research to finding a cure for MacGregor’s Syndrome, a terminal illness which afflicts his beloved wife Nora. However, a tragic accident during one of his experiments mutated his body, and left him unable to survive outside of freezing temperatures. Taking on the persona of Mr. Freeze, Fries embraced a life of crime to fund his continued research. Using stolen diamonds, he created a cryo-suit to sustain him and began work on a nefarious scheme to build a “freezing engine,” with the goal of encasing all of Gotham in an icy tomb!
The 1/6 Scale Mr. Freeze Collectible Figure by Hot Toys is expertly crafted and meticulously hand-painted to replicate the stunning makeup worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie. The figure features a newly developed headsculpt with the character’s signature ice-blue skin, plus ultra-realistic skin texture as well as Hot Toys’ innovative rolling eyeballs feature—which allows collectors to adjust the character’s gaze.
Mr. Freeze’s specialized suit is also faithfully recreated with various metallic paint effects and a combination of translucent and iridescent elements. The armor, helmet, and Freeze Gun also include LED light-up effects for added movie accuracy. Accessories include multiple swap-out hands for a variety of posing and display options, a freezing beam effect (attachable to his gun), and more!
