The first look at Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning unleashed

Ready for one last ride with Ethan Hunt? The Mission: Impossible saga comes to a close with 2025’s The Final Reckoning.

Crazy stunts ahoy

It’s really all come down to this, but is it really the end of an era? Yeah, it’s looking that way, as Tom Cruise’s typically quite popular Mission: Impossible movie series is coming to a close, and it looks like it’s set to do so in style. At least, that’s if the new trailer is anything to go by.

That was released today with the long-awaited series-capper, dubbed Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, getting a two minute first-look from Paramount Pictures. In it, we hear an ominous voiceover from series star and actor Ving Rhames, who walks fans through a loose history of Cruise’s super-agent Ethan Hunt.

Some of what’s shown even calls back to the very first M:I movie, though it does quickly move on, to showcase what looks like some big time action and insane looking stuntwork. And yes, said stunts show Cruise doing some incredible stuff that you probably wouldn’t see from too many other stars of his level.

Here’s that first-look:

Our lives are the sum of our choices. Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning..

Paramount Pictures press release

Well, we’re officially pumped. Once again directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and including a cast with Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning closes the door (probably) on the series in May of 2025.
