One of Microsoft’s biggest 2024 releases, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle finally has a release date, and it’s inbound for the Holidays.
The man with the hat is back
Revealed in depth earlier this year, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is looking even better in the latest trailer from Gamescom. In it, actor and voice of Indy himself Troy Baker walks prospective players through what they’ll find in the title’s campaign, which is loaded with some big moments and even some callbacks to classic Indy adventures.
The first-person gameplay will focus on staple Indiana Jones action with plenty of fisticuffs, an appearance by his revolver, and of course loads of whip cracking. But it’s not all action. There’ll be plenty of exploration as well, as the game’s campaign will take players globe-trotting, on a quest to discover the secret behind a Great Circle of mysteriously-linked ancient sites.
From MachineGames, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, set between the events of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark™ and Indiana Jones and the The Last Crusade™, Indiana Jones and the Great Circleimmerses players in an all-new single-player, narrative driven adventure. Blending cinematic set-pieces, puzzle-solving, and hand-to-hand combat, players will embark on an authentic Indiana Jones™ experience around the world to try and defeat the sinister forces working against them.
Players can also look forward to more content with the launch of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of the Giants DLC™. This story-focused DLC will be available with purchases of the Premium, Premium Upgrade and Collector’s Edition post-launch with more details coming at a later date.
Bethesda press release
Physical and digital editions of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are up for pre-order right now, with the game heading to PC and Xbox Series X|S this December the 9th, as a timed console exclusive. Yes, like most of Bethesda’s titles (is Starfield the only holdout?), it’s been revealed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be gong multi-platform.
The upcoming PS5 version though, will not arrive until some time in the spring of 2025, so it sounds like it might be a 6 month exclusivity window. If you’re deciding whether to wait or not, it’s also worth mentioning that the game will be included as a day one launch on Xbox Game Pass for the PC and Xbox. So there are a few different ways fans could roll… not unlike a big stone boulder.
