Star Wars: Bounty Hunter tracks down a console and PC launch today

Jango Fett’s sole solo adventure has returned, and this time Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is packing some improvements.

The hunt is on

One of the key characters in the Star Wars prequels, Jango Fett has really only figured into one video game as a main character. That would be Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, a third person action title from the days of the PS2. At the time, it was a relative hit, but then vanished without a port to any subsequent generations. If you’ve been hankering to dig into the Star Wars universe as Jango once again though, you should definitely check out Aspyr’s latest.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is set to deliver that same adventure as the original, plus a few modern niceties. Those include an “updated camera system, modern control options, multiple visual enhancements, improved environmental textures”, and “new dynamic lighting effects”.

But that’s not all, as the title now also includes a flashlight feature. It might sound simple, but that should help navigate the game’s missions quite a bit.

Become the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy! As Jango Fett, you’ll jump, jetpack, blast and strafe in this iconic action-adventure game featuring a variety of visual and gameplay improvements on modern platforms, as well as Steam Deck support, mouse and keyboard controls on PC, and several DualSense controller features for PlayStation 5 players.

And for the first time ever, upon completing the campaign, you’ll unlock a new Boba Fett skin for the next playthrough, paying off a notorious easter egg from the original game!

Aspyr press release

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is out right now for current Xbox and PlayStation consoles, plus the Switch and the PC.
