THQ Nordic’s “Chilling Digital Showcase” coming up next month

Get ready for some spills and chills as THQ Nordic’s Chilling Digital Showcase is set to present updates and reveals next month.

“Chilling”, you say?

We’re not exactly sure where the name comes from for THQ Nordic’s Chilling Digital Showcase comes from. Maybe there might be more to it, or maybe it’s just from the fact that most of the games shown off will be coming up in the Holiday/winter timeframe. Then again, it might be just that the publisher is tagging the event with the “cool, cool summer” line. Whichever way you slice it though, there are gonna be some games you might wanna check out.

For a fact, we know that there will be updates on the oncoming Gothic Remake, Titan Quest II, Way of the Hunter, and Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, but those are just the known quantities. THQ Nordic also promises that fans will be treated to “brand-new game announcements”, and “some sneaky little teasers”. So there should be plenty of titles on display, that will both be coming in short order, and in the more distant future.

While all of that will make up the primary bulk of the show, there’ll also be a lead-in to check out. HandyGames will be… handling that, so there’ll be even more stuff to gawk at, if you’re tuning in early. As for that, the show is planned to kick off at 3pm eastern time, on August 2nd, 2024. You can catch it via THQ Nordic’s YouTube, Twitch, or Steam pages.

One more thing too, and there might be absolutely nothing to this, but included in the press release is a definite reference to Lord of the Rings. The email states that the company “will present games that were, games that are, and some games that have not yet come to pass…”. Again, that might be just a fun little way of saying what the presentation will be about. Or not.

We’ll find out on August 2nd.
