Nintendo Download: An Epic Paper Adventure Unfolds in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door!

It’s a paper-heavy week for Nintendo Switch fans, with the release of the revamped Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.

Careful, don’t tear it

A big summer release for Nintendo, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is indeed out right now for Switch. The papercrafty game brings back a classic from the GameCube era, re-creating that first Paper Mario title for a new generation of fans.

Continuing the theme too, is a special set of rewards for My Nintendo members, who can cash in platinum points for a bookmark, scrapbook kit, retro GameCube alt-cover, or a Character Notepad. The pad sounds especially neat, and comes complete with 20 designs so fans can make their own real-world paper characters, right from the game.

Want more papery goodness? While it’s not Mario-themed, this week also brings Paper Trail, a top-down adventure in a paper world. Players star as Paige, an academic who’s leaving home for the first time, bringing her into a world of puzzles and secrets to unravel.

While it’s not ‘paper’ themed in any way, Switch fans can also find Wizardry: Proving Ground of the Mad Overlord in the eShop this week. The fantasy game is a recreation of the iconic first Wizardry, a porto-dungeon crawler that released for the Apple II in 1981, and hit the NES in 1990 (’87 in Japan).

Check out all of those titles and more, including the shockingly also-paperiffic Duck Detective, in the full rundown below.
