Marvel’s “X-Factor” is coming back (and so’s Wolverine)

Marvel unveiled two more books in the soon-to-be reborn X-Men line, with a Wolverine solo comic and the return of X-Factor.

Classic logo!

For some time now, Marvel Comics has been ramping up into the X-Men’s “From the Ashes” era. A new initiative that’ll follow on the somewhat controversial “Krakoan” age, From the Ashes will see a full lineup of fresh #1 issues that cast the company’s familiar mutants in more traditional roles.

We’ve been filling you in on what’s on the way as Marvel’s been revealing titles, and most have been expected. The likes of mainstay series’ X-Men, Uncanny X-Men, and X-Force have all been added to the list of what fans can look for this summer. Those flagships will be included along with newcomers like the New Mutants-esque Exceptional X-Men.

Today the publisher in question took the wraps off of two more, and they’re both heavyweight additions. For one thing, Wolverine will be back in his own solo book, which will be launching this fall along with what looks to be a throwback, 90s X-Factor.

While Marvel included scant details on either one, we can see that this new X-Factor will be what sounds like a government (presumably US) backed squad, and the original logo is back. On top of that, you can forget the old “hates and fears them” X-tag line, as this is a team that will be the apple of the public’s eye.

As you can see from the released pics, X-Factor will be hitting stands in August, while Wolverine will follow in September. There are no firm dates just yet, so stay tuned for those, plus a full detailing that’ll likely be along any day now.
