Bubble Ghost Remake gets dev diary, announces demo

Time to scare up a little retro-remake fun, courtesy of Selecta Play and developer VIDIBOND’s Bubble Ghost Remake.

A spooky classic returns

We first told you about Bubble Ghost’s remake some time ago. You might recognize the name, since even though it was a niche title, the Atari ST (and later Game Boy) game was pretty unique. A wayward ghost is the star of course, and gameplay sent players on a quest to guide a lone bubble (intact) through a series of perilous predicaments.

And while this remake has been radio-silent for a while, it now looks like the spectral puzzler is ready to make its final push towards retail. To give players a fresh look at what they’ll be able to play later this year, Selecta Play has just released a developer diary.

Guide a little ghost and his bubble through an enchanted mansion filled with dangers and thrilling challenges in this incredible remake of Bubble Ghost. Master levels of skill and clever puzzles as you unveil the story hidden behind the spirit of Heinrich Von Schinker. This remake of the game features a fresh new look and a myriad of new features (like new game modes, fierce bosses, collectibles, and many more surprises) that will captivate you for hours. Get ready to protect your bubble through the rooms of this mysterious castle… Will you uncover all its hidden secrets?

Selecta Play press release

Along with the video, the publisher has also revealed that Bubble Ghost will have a demo. That will be arriving for both the PC and Switch, and should be landing ahead of the full retail version of the game. As to when though, we can’t tell you, as the details on both the title’s launch and that demo are still unannounced.

So basically, if you’re looking for a little ghostly nostalgia, stay tuned.
