High on Life getting new comics adaptation from Titan Comics

One of the biggest surprises in recent years, the comical sci-fi adventure High on Life is making its way to comics.

The gun that talks back

Did you play High on Life? A way-out sci-fi adventure that arrived on consoles and the PC in 2022, High on Life was a comically weird FPS that starred a lone human bounty hunter, and a talking gun. Or, actually, talking weapons might be the better turn of phrase. Yeah, it was unique.

And while there’s been no word of a sequel to the hit title, there is a comic book on the way that will continue the tale of all of the above. Not an adaptation of the game itself, this new comic from publisher Titan, writer Alec Robbins, and artist Kit Wallis will find a universe that is dealing with the fallout from the death of the evil Garmantuous.

Though they restored peace to the cosmos by killing Garmantuous, there’s no rest for the Bounty Hunter when a brutal new threat to Humans shoots its way onto the scene. Armed with plucky & determined Harper – and the rest of the Gatlian gang – the series will take them on an explosive, twisting adventure across the cosmos.

A story of GUTS, GORE, REDEMPTION, and lost love, this brand-new miniseries will be a rollercoaster romp in the world of the eponymous video game.

Titan Comics press release

Look for High on Life #1 to hit the stands this June the 12th. And stay tuned too, because there are more cover reveals to come. What you see here from Baldemar Rivas is just “cover A”.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
