MyRISE is back in WWE 2K24, serving up both women’s and men’s storylines, centered on your own created superstars.
Gotta develop that gimmick
Maybe one of the less popular modes included in the WWE 2K series of games from 2K and developer Visual Concepts, MyRISE is still pretty neat. If you haven’t checked it out before, then you might be interested to know that, unlike with other story modes, MyRISE is an original tale that uses player-created wrestlers.
This year, that will mean a pair of modes, with one focuses on male superstars and one on females. More or less, you take the path of an up and coming star in the WWE, making your way through the ranks of grapplers on your way to stardom. On the way, 2K says there’s plenty of stuff to unlock too, with “80 rewards to be unlocked, including arenas, Paybacks, entrances, MyFACTION cards, and championship belts”. So yeah, if you’re a fan, then you’re gonna want to check it out.
In Unleashed, the women’s division experience, players step into the boots of a wrestler who founded the hottest promotion on the indie scene. But when given the opportunity to share her talents on the larger stage of WWE, will she “Unleash” her full potential, or hesitate and hold back?
In Undisputed, Roman Reigns follows in the footsteps of The Rock and heads to Hollywood, vacating his championship and leaving big boots to fill for our protagonist. But the “Tribal Chief” won’t stay gone for long and doesn’t appreciate a pretender to his throne.
Both experiences offer players multiple choices to make that will impact how their careers unfold, including whether to embody the archetype of a Hollywood star, supernatural character, or villainous, brutal heel, and whether to align with authority figures William Regal and The Miz. In addition to original arenas and championship belts, for the first time ever, players will be able to unlock MyRISE-specific MyFACTION* cards from both Undisputed and Unleashed experiences. In Undisputed, this includes cards for fan-favorite characters such as Cole Quinn, Chosen, Slade, Tavish, and Xavier Woods’ alter ego, Zero.

The Deluxe Edition and the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition of WWE 2K24 will arrive digitally next week, on March 5th. The physical version of the Deluxe will arrive in some market then as well, with the both Standard and Standard Cross-Gen Digital Edition’s arriving on the 8th. Look for all of the above to hit for PlayStation and Xbox platforms, as well as the PC.
