Unbox Hot Toys’ new Super Battle Droid with Sideshow

A long awaited figure, hailing straight from the Star Wars prequels and animated shows, here comes the Super Battle Droid.

Here come the big boys

On the same day that Hasbro has revealed 6″ Super Battle Droids, Sideshow Toys has delivered an unboxing video for the 12″ edition from Hot Toys. Both figures are pretty highly anticipated, and have been mysteriously long times in the offing given the popularity of the droids.

Let’s get back to the Hot Toys version though, since this is what this particular news is about. And yes, it’s coming up fast at this point, as we’ve officially entered into the launch window for this chunky ‘bot. Now, to be fair this is a pretty big window, as retailer Sideshow Toys says that the figure will be out some time before June.

But just because we’re looking at a six month period, that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t take a look. It’s also worth noting by the way, that Sideshow’s unboxings usually take place fairly close to their subjects actual drop dates.

Just something to keep that in mind while you check out this awesome new piece.

Featuring a newly developed body, with an LED light-up feature on the chest, the Super Battle Droid 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure has over 18 points of articulation which provide new levels of flexibility and posing potential. The figure is carefully painted in metallic and matte black with weathered effects, and comes with articulated mechanical graspers plus an interchangeable battle-damaged elbow. The Super Battle Droid comes with a sand-themed display base and is packaged in a specially designed box featuring the Star Wars: Attack of the Clones 20th Anniversary logo.

Rule the battlefield with the Super Battle Droid 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure from Hot Toys. Available to pre-order from Sideshow.
