Nintendo Download: Winter’s Sundries

The Nintendo Download returns to relative normal this week. Though it eschews spotlight games, there’s a massive list of smaller stuff.

That’s better

If you got some Nintendo eShop bucks for the Holidays, you might finally have reason to spend them. Maybe. Actually we might be overstating this week’s Nintendo Download a little, since there really isn’t anything all that notable in it.

If you read last week’s Download, it was devoid of the usual laundry list of smaller launches, and had no marquee titles, typically spotlighted by Nintendo every week. The latter are still absent from this new edition of the feature, but thankfully there’s plenty of the former.

Whether or not you’re interested in what’s on tap is up to you, but this week brings the likes of Saints Row: The Big Purple Package, which bundles Saints Row 3 and 4, and an Animal Crossing event that brings some of the well-known Sanrio characters to the popular mobile title. And other thank those, there’s the aforementioned glut of lesser-known stuff.

Hey, we said there were games, we didn’t say games you’d want.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
